Good afternoon! Today, I will sum up the activities of the LPR People’s Militia for the past week and inform you about the situation on the contact line.
During the week, the LPR People’s Militia units carried out planned classes on combat training, the objectives of which were achieved. In addition, the main efforts were focused on de-mining the territory of explosive devices in the areas of localities Golubovskoye, Dachnoye, Sentyanovka, and there were also carried out works on de-mining the railroad near the locality of Donetsky.
In accordance with the order of the Head of the Lugansk People's Republic, the LPR People’s Militia units strictly observe the ceasefire.
Over the past week, the Ukrainian military violated the ceasefire 5 times, having launched 74 shells on the territory of the Republic. The enemy opened fire from 82 and 120mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms.
The Ukrainian punishers shelled the localities Lozovoye, Nizhneye Lozovoye, Kalinovo and the area of the Prince Igor monument.
The orders to open fire on the localities and the positions of the LPR People’s Militia were given to their units by the war criminals and ardent nationalists:
- the commander of the 54th separate mechanized brigade, Colonel Gorbatyuk;
- the commander of the 9th battalion of the 59th separate mechanized infantry brigade, Colonel Ivanov;
- the commander of the 28th separate mechanized brigade, Colonel Zubovsky.
The Ukrainian side continues to violate the Minsk Agreements on the heavy weapons withdrawal from the contact line. This fact is confirmed by the OSCE SMM in their official weekly reports. In particular, the mission representatives documented the placement near the contact line of the following prohibited weapons:
- up to one firing platoon of MLRS «Grad», in the area of the locality of Novotroitskoye;
- up to one battery of MLRS «Uragan», in the area of the railway station;
- up to one platoon of the personnel on two armored trucks KrAZ «Kuguar» with large-caliber machine guns mounted on them, in the area of the locality of Lopaskino;
- up to one company of the personnel on an infantry fighting vehicle BMP-2, accommodated in houses of the locals, in the area of the locality of Stanitsa Luganskaya.
In addition, the OSCE SMM documented in their reports the withdrawal from the storage sites of the following AFU weapons and equipment:
- 41 tanks T-64 and T-72;
- 4 120mm anti-aircraft missile systems «Strela-10»;
- 6 152mm motorized howitzers «Akatsia»;
- 26 122mm motorized howitzers «Gvozdika»;
- 3 100mm anti-tank cannons «Rapira»;
- 30 120mm mortars «Sani»;
- 14 82mm mortars «Vasilyok».
In addition, in the locality of Pobeda, we recorded the placing of one anti-aircraft missile system "Osa" with a transport-charging vehicle.
On September 20, from the locality of Lisichansk towards the contact line moved five trucks transporting on trawls three 152mm motorized artillery systems «Akatsia» and two tanks T-64.
The Ukrainian command, aware of the prohibition of UAV flights in the contact zone, uses drones for reconnaissance of the LPR People’s Militia positions, thus violating the Minsk Agreements. Over the past week, in the zone of responsibility of the LPR People’s Militia, there were recorded six flights of the AFU UAVs in the area of the localities Kalinovo, Lozovoye, Debaltsevo, and Pervomaysk.
The Ukrainian government still continues to use the military help of their Western patrons, as well as the services of foreign mercenaries who are used to commit acts of sabotage.
According to our data, in the localities near the contact line, there are deployed at least about 200 foreign mercenaries.
In the locality of Stanytsa Luganskaya, on the enemy’s positions, there was detected the flag of the «Wahhabi» terrorist organization of about 30 Turkish «Grey Wolves» mercenarie.
The presence of foreign mercenaries in the ATO area is also confirmed by representatives of the OSCE mission.
In particular, the daily report of the mission of September 20 informed that in the locality of Troitskoye the mission observers met two soldiers wearing the «Georgian Legion» insignia and speaking Georgian. For information about the Georgian mercenaries staying in the locality of Troitskoye is confirmed by the locals.
In addition, the AFU command uses the services of foreign military instructors teaching the Ukrainian military in the area of the so-called ATO.
Near the contact line, in the area go the localities Severodonetsk, Bobrovoye and Valuyskoye, there are foreign military instructors from the Baltic states, Poland and Canada. In the area of the locality of Schastye, on the base of the former football club "Zarya", there are placed foreign soldiers speaking English and Swedish, who are engaged in training the AFU snipers, and on the territory of a former police school, stay American instructors who train the AFU military.
Thus, such an amassing of foreign mercenaries and military instructors in the near-front area leads to the conclusion that the Ukrainian elite is planning to conduct large-scale provocations aimed at destabilizing the situation in the Republic on the eve of the nationwide preliminary voting.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to suffer non-combat losses of the military personnel. Over the past week, three Ukrainian soldiers were killed and six wounded. The increased number of non-combat losses is associated with alcohol abuse among the AFU military, against the background of planned postponement of mobilization in the conflict zone.
One example of the non-combat losses in the ranks of the AFU is an incident that occurred on September 18, in the locality of Prokhody, the Dergachyovsky district, the Kharkov region, where a soldier, as a result of a conflict, shot two of his comrades from a machine gun. One soldier was killed, the other wounded. The shooter himself fled, taking the machine gun with him. Later, the police together with employees of the State Border Service of Ukraine detained the fugitive who was intoxicated.
The alcoholism in the ranks of the AFU is not already prevented by penalties, entered by the ATO command, against the military personnel who have been seen drinking alcoholic beverages. The commanders take away 7,000 UAH from a monthly money allowance of such soldiers. According to our information, for the previous quarter, only due to the penalties, the Defense Ministry of Ukraine saved about 500,000 UAH, which indicates an unprecedented number of the AFU military suffering from alcohol addiction.
Despite the fact that the enemy continues to build up its forces in the area of so-called ATO, we still count on the resolution of the conflict in Donbass through a peaceful dialogue. Any attempts of the Ukrainian authorities to destabilize the situation in our land will turn into a tragedy for the civilian population of Ukraine. The LPR People's Militia strictly observes the Minsk Agreements, but in the event of their failure by the Ukrainian side, is ready to act decisively.
I would also like to draw the attention of all the citizens of our Republic to the threat of the Ukrainian secret services carrying out terrorist acts and call them for vigilance.
