The situation on the contact line has deteriorated but remains under control.
Over the past day, the Ukrainian military eleven times violated the ceasefire. There were shelled the positions of the LPR People's Militia in the area of the localities Smeloye, Nizhneye Lozovoye, Kalinovka and Kalinovo. The Ukrainian units used in the shelling tanks, 120mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers and small arms. In total, there were launched 360 shells on the territory of the Republic. In addition, yesterday the Ukrainian military shelled the locality of Mikhaylovka, the Pervomaysky region, which resulted in residential houses and households damaged in the Kotovskogo, Turgeneva and Kutuzova streets.
The criminal orders to conduct fire were given to their units by the war criminals, the commander of the 24th brigade, Shevchenko, and the commander of the 54th brigade, Gorbatyuk.
As a result of the mortar shelling of the LPR People’s Militia positions in the area of Kalinovo, there was killed one soldier of the LPR People’s Militia and another was wounded.
In violation of the Minsk Agreements, the Ukrainian military continue reconnaissance along the contact line with unmanned aerial vehicles. It was revealed that on the night of February 23 and the morning of February 24, a UAV was launched from the zone of responsibility of the 14th brigade of the AFU. The reconnaissance was carried out to spot artillery and tanks fire.
In the area of the locality of Popasnaya, in the area of responsibility of the 24th brigade of the AFU, arrived a reconnaissance unit of the 73rd special operations center, tasked with reconnaissance and sabotage organization.
In the area of the locality of Novoluganskoye, in the zone of responsibility of the 54th brigade of the AFU, there is confirmed the deployment of a unit of the 46th separate special purpose battalion. The units is tasked with conducting sabotage and intelligence activities in localities situated near the contact line.
We continue to record cases of non-combat losses in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There are confirmed health losses of the personnel of an anti-tank platoon of the 1st battalion of the 14th brigade of the AFU; a soldier Shakunenko shot himself in a foot, because of his unwillingness to further serve in the «ATO» area. It is known that a medical examination revealed the presence of alcohol in the blood of the soldier.
Apparently, Kiev is not going to stop there and continues to further escalate the conflict in Donbass. The Ukrainian authorities do not care about peace agreements adopted in Minsk. They only want the bloodshed in order to make amends for all their ill-considered decisions on the collapse of the country.
In our turn, the People's Militia of the Lugansk People's Republic, despite constant provocation from the Ukrainian military, is in compliance with its commitments on the return of peace to Donbass.
Our units are constantly alert, constantly have classes for combat training in order to maintain high alert to counter any aggression from the Ukrainian side.
Next week, in the units there are planned classes on tactical and fire training and live firing of tank and motorized infantry units. A particular attention will be paid to honing skills of sniper pairs and improving the training facilities.
