Ukrainian special services received database of journalists accredited in DPR
The site "Peacemaker", supervised by the Ukrainian security forces, where the personal data of the writer Olesya Buzina were published the day before his murder, has acquired a database with the names of the foreign journalists accredited in the DPR.
‘All the information is passed, for analysis and investigation, to the SBU, the Interior Ministry and other competent services of Ukraine,’ said Anton Gerashchenko, a MP of the Verkhovnaya Rada and one of the “Peacemaker” curators.
Sergey Belous, a reporter living in Serbia, who, during the fighting, worked in the DPR and became famous for reporting under the pseudonym John Trust, believes the situation with the publication of the DPR base at the "Peacemaker" is extremely alarming.
This does not only violates the right to privacy of personal data, but, in terms of repression in Ukraine, is a threat to journalists.
Having downloaded the DPR database from the "Peacemaker", Belous notes that it is ‘somewhat out-of-date’....
