Over the past day, the Ukrainian military have continued to shell the settlements of our Republic.
In the Gorlovka direction, the terrorists from the 72nd motorized brigade, led by the war criminal Tatus, shelled the settlement of DOLOMITNOYE with grenade launchers of various types and small arms.
In the Mariupol direction, the military from the 36th Marine brigade, carrying out another illegal order of the war criminal Gnatov, shelled the settlements of SAKHANKA and LENINSKOYE with grenade launchers of various types and small arms, including large-caliber weapons.
As a result of the work of a sniper pair of the enemy in the vicinity of the settlement of Leniskoye, ONE defender of the Republic was killed. Later, the enemy's sniper pair was eliminated.
Today, the Ukrainian side has posted in the Internet yet another evidence of a violation of the announced "Harvest cesefire", as well as attempts to escalate the conflict.
In a video posted by volunteers in one of the popular social networks, the facts of the bombardment of positions of our defenders with quadrocopters and improvised explosive devices based on a AGS VOG-17 grenade, are demonstrated. We have repeatedly reported such "homemade" attacks on the territory of our Republic and demonstrated their results. Moreover, not only our positions were shelled, but also the peaceful settlements. The civilians of Dokuchaevsk and the Petrovsky district of DONETSK received injuries in such bombardments in June of this year. Today, the Ukrainian invaders have demonstrated the latest evidence of their crimes.
We will present them at the next meeting of the Contact Group in Minsk on August 22, as well as attach them to the materials of the criminal cases brought against the commanders of the AFU units in the International Criminal Court.
The International Court of Justice is not the only thing that can await the Ukrainian military who continue to terrorize our Republic. No less successful in destroying these criminals is their military-political leadership supplying substandard weapons to the Armed Forces. If earlier the main "creator of justice" was the Ukrainian mortar "Molot", with an enviable periodicity destroying the Ukrainian military, now it is the turn of 120-mm mortar shells.
Tonight, at the positions of the 503rd battalion of the 36th Marine Brigade, at an attempt to shell the territory of our Republic, a shell exploded in the canal of a mortar. As a result, ONE gunman was killed, and three injured.
According to our information, this fact is hidden by the command of the brigade from the higher headquarters. The commander of the 503rd battalion was given an oral instruction to provoke our side to open fire in the near future, and subsequently "write off" the dead and wounded.
We attribute this behavior of the 36th Brigade command to the fact that, according to preliminary data, the self-explosion occurred due to a malfunction of the ammunition itself. Earlier, during the inspection of the weapons store of the 36th brigade, the RAW commission of the UFO headquarters had revealed shortcomings in storing mortar ammunition. These violations of storage, as follows from the conclusions of the final act, "may cause the failure of these munitions."
Turning to the Ukrainian terrorists, I will say that if you do not leave willingly, you will be taken away in hearse. And if this does not happen with our help, then you will have to thank for it the military-political leadership of Ukraine, for which you are "cannon fodder".
