The situation on the contact line has stabilized. Over the past day, the ceasefire was not violated.
Despite the decreased number of bombardments, the Ukrainian junta still considers seizing our territory by force. To this end, taking advantage of the false lull, the AFU command regroups their troops and delivers the prohibited weapons to the contact line.
- In Popasnaya, there were detected two 152mm motorized artillery systems «Akatsia»;
- In Zolotoye, there was detected the arrival of two infantry fighting vehicles BMP-1 and up to 20 soldiers of the 2nd battalion of the 24th brigade of the AFU.
We continue to record the facts of self-harm and theft of ammunition by the AFU soldiers in the area of the so-called ATO.
In particular, in the zone of responsibility of the 2nd battalion of the 54th brigade, there was detained, in the state of extreme intoxication while trying to escape, a soldier of the 25th separate airborne brigade. During the search, in his possession there was found ammunition, including eight hand grenades, three anti-personnel mines MON-50 and fuses to grenades UZRGM. It was found that before joining the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the soldier had been repeatedly convicted for theft and robbery.
At the same time, an officer of the 54th brigade of the AFU, due to the refusal of the brigade command to transfer him to another unit, the postponement of the rotary activities and fear of being sent to the are of the Svetlodarsk arc, shot himself in the right thigh soft tissue, after which was hospitalized.
In addition, we learned new facts of the crimes committed by the Ukrainian punishers against the civilian population of Donbass.
Bandits of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps «Right Sector», committing extortion at the checkpoint near the locality of Troitskoye, raped a young girl, threatening her with imprisonment for assistance and espionage for the LPR, and then illegally detained her for another two days, during which they continued to beat and rape her.
In addition, no less «famous» military of the 2nd battalion of the 54th brigade, stationed in the locality of Troitskoye, got drunk, stole an infantry fighting vehicle BMP-2 and drove an armored car through the locality’s streets, accompanying foul language in address of local residents with indiscriminate firing from automatic weapons and tower guns. Due to this fact, local residents submitted a complaint to the prosecutor's office about the actions of the military, but it seems to me that all the people’s complaints will be again left without a just punishment of the penetrators.
We, as always, hope for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Donbass, and do everything possible for that, which is confirmed by the reports of the OSCE Mission.
As the next step in the implementation of the Minsk Agreements, on January 21, 2017, in the area of Pervomayskoye and Zolotoye, we planned clearance of minefields and areas of unexploded ordnance. For this, we asked, through the JCCC, for the silence regime in this area from 10.00 to 16.00 on January 21. Despite our good intentions in unilaterally implementing the Minsk Agreements points, the Ukrainian side refused to guarantee the silence regime on the part of their punitive units, since it ceased to control and command them.
This fact once again confirms both the inability of the Ukrainian authorities to guarantee the security of the citizens in the zone of the anti-national terrorist operation created by them, and the lack of the banal control over their own army, now consisting mainly of criminals and thugs, which is confirmed by the systematic adoption of laws to pardon prisoners.
These facts put together, say only one thing: the criminal government of Ukraine does not plan to implement the Minsk Agreements and is doing everything possible for their failure and the continuation of the fratricidal war.
