The situation in the zone of responsibility of the LPR People’s Militia has not changed and remains tense. Over the past day, the enemy violated the ceasefire 5 times.
There were shelled the positions of our units in the areas of the localities Zhelobok, Smeloye, Vesyologorovka and Kalinovo. The Armed Forces of Ukraine used in the shelling 82 and 120mm mortars, anti-aircraft systems, infantry fighting vehicles, automatic grenade launchers and small arms. In total, on the territory of the Republic there were launched 264 shells.
Our reconnaissance revealed that on May 24, in the area of responsibility of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade, in the area of the locality of Artyomovsk, arrived the deputy head of the «ATO», Colonel Avdeev, with a group of twelve officers. The arrival of the commission is due to the frequent cases of mass desertion of the military of the brigade, as well as concealment of the facts of desertion by the unit commanders.
Cases of desertion (leaving the points of temporary deployment) by the AFU military are already massive and irreversible. In particular, last week, such a check was conducted in the 24th separate mechanized brigade, where worked a commission headed by the chief of the AFU military service of the law-and-order, Major-General Krishtun. In all cases of the offense, the proceedings are conducted.
I would like to draw your attention to the fact that, in order to divert public attention from real problems in the «ATO» zone, such as massive desertion and the growth of non-combat losses due to the general alcoholism, drug addiction and violation of military discipline, the AFU command continues to lie and run so-called fakes in the media.
In particular, on May 23, according to several Ukrainian resources, there was the «sensational» news that the AFU units had advanced in the area of the Svetlodarsk arc.
I officially declare that this is not true! Our units are in constant combat readiness in their positions, ready to repel the enemy's offensive at any moment.
On the same day, May 23, in the area of the locality of Shiroky, while driving a vehicle in a state of intoxication, a mechanic-driver of the MT-LB of the 14th brigade of the AFU, allowed the truck to roll over into a ditch. As a result of the incident, six soldiers of the brigade, who were sitting on the truck during the movement, received injuries of various degrees of severity and were taken to medical institutions.
In our turn, we adhere to the «silence regime» and observe the Minsk Agreements. Our actions are aimed at solving the conflict in Donbass peacefully.
