The leaders of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnkitsky, arrived to visit the Crimea. This was announced by the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Community of Crimea, Andrew Kozenko.

‘The delegations led by the Heads of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics are already in the Crimea. It is very important that during the events of the Pereyaslavkaya Rada (the event that took place in 1654 and united Russia and Ukraine), our sister republics are here, and we thus want to show our unbreakable spiritual connection and the fact that the Crimeans take close to their hearts everything happening in Donbass,’ said Kozenko.

The delegations from Donbass arrived in the Crimea on the invitation of the Russian Community of the Crimea. In addition to Zakharchenko and Plotnitsky, there also came the chairmen of the DPR  and LPR People's Councils, Denis Pushilin and Vladimir Degtyarenko.

‘All of the first leaders are now in the Crimea,’ stressed Kozenko.

During the visit, which will last until January 20, there is scheduled a joint press conference in the Crimean press center of the international information agency «Russia today», a solemn meeting in Simferopol at the monument to Bogdan Khmelnitsky, dedicated to the anniversary of the Pereyaslavkays Rada and the Forum of Slavic unity «With Russia Forever».

‘At the forum, we will make a number of policy statements, where the Russian community of the Crimea will sign a cooperation agreement with the public movement «Peace for Luhansk»,’ said the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
