During the annual conference of the Association of the US Army’ in Washington, the Head of Staff of the US army, General Mark Millie said that the war with Russia and China was ‘almost inevitable’.

‘I want to be very clear for those who want to harm us ... In spite of all our challenges, in spite of all that we have been doing, we will stop you, and we will beat you harder than you have never been beaten before,’ he said.

Milly’s colleague, Major General of the US Army William Hicks said after him that ‘any conflict with the use of conventional weapons in the near future will take place very quickly and lead to enormous casualties’, and it will be impossible ‘to stop at will’. 

According to Hicks, the successes of Russia and China in military construction and the creation of new technologies forced the US to start preparing for combat operations to such an extent that the US military had not seen since the Korean War.
