The soldiers of the DPR Armed Forces have taken the positions abandoned by the AFU soldiers in the vicinity of the locality of Vasilyevka. The locality is of strategic importance, since it allows you to observe Avdeevka, the largest town in this region, which is under the AFU control. 

The advancement of the DPR military in this region is a great success, since Vasilyevka is located near the strategically important route Donetsk-Gorlovka. The Ukrainian command has long dreamed of cutting this artery vital for the Republic, but now these plans have become even further from reality. With the DPR fighters having come to new frontiers, the movement of civilian vehicles, buses and trucks on the road will become safer. 

It is also important that the new positions offer a view of Avdeevka, the largest town in this region, which is under the AFU control. It can be stated that the Ukrainian tactic of the «creeping offensive» has turned out a total collapse and turned into a «creeping retreat». Unable to hold numerous (and not always convenient for them positions), the Ukrainian soldiers abandon them, after which they pass under the control of the DPR.
