The AFU have resumed the shelling of the area near Debaltsevo. This was reported by the acting Head of the city administration, Alexander Reinhold.

‘Now the shelling has resumed again on the contact line of and in the area close to Debaltsevo,’ said the mayor. 

According to a source in the DPR law enforcement agencies, in one day the Ukrainian side launched nearly 380 122 and 152mm artillery shells and 82 and 120mm mortar shells in this sector.

Reinhold said that against this background, the situation in the city is calm, all social sectors are operating normally. 

The day before, for the first time since February 2015, the Ukrainian military shelled residential areas of Debaltsevo. There were damaged three households, one house was completely destroyed in a nearby village.
