Denis Pushilin: SBU participates in international organizations missions work in Donbass

22:51, 19.09.2016Politics

On Saturday, September 17 of this year, within the framework of the Minsk trilateral contact group, there was held an exchange of prisoners between Donetsk and Kiev. The Donetsk People's Republic handed over to the Ukrainian side the SBU colonel Yury Suprun, an alleged employee of the UN humanitarian mission in Ukraine, who was engaged in collecting intelligence information. Instead, four peaceful citizens of Donbass were released.

At the same time, we would like to draw the attention of such a respected international organization as the United Nations to the staff recruitment in its structural units in the field.

The SBU’ management, using the international organizations (UN, OSCE) as cover, takes measures to promote to these organizations acting security officers who have taken part in the so-called "ATO" in Donbass.

The DPR law enforcement agencies have obtained data about the involvement of Yury Suprun in organizing, in 2014, intelligence and subversive activities on the territory of the Republic, aimed at destabilizing the situation in the DPR.

In addition, we have collected testimonies confirming the facts of Yury Suprun’s participation in the interrogation, with torture, of 11 supporters of the Republic, detained by the SBU of the Donetsk region.

Such unscrupulous employees, under the name of international organizations, commit criminal acts and violate international law, which subsequently affects the reputation of the organization and does not correspond to the declared mandate. We express our hope and confidence that a more thorough work in this direction will help to avoid such incidents in the future.
