The heads of educational institutions of the Donetsk People's Republic and the Republic of South Ossetia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. It was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the DPR.

‘Today in the capital of Abkhazia, the city of Sukhum, there has been signed the first inter-agency Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of education and science. The document has been signed by the Minister of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic, Larisa Polyakova, and the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of South Ossetia, Natalie Gassieva,’ said the statement of the Ministry.

According to the Ministry, the text of the international document defines the main directions of the future partnership. Among them, there is the preparation of highly qualified personnel, joint researches, student exchange and others.

‘Today we have taken the first step towards the development of a full-fledged educational and scientific cooperation between the DNI and the RSO. We are delighted to find understanding and a deep interest in the eyes of our South Ossetian colleagues,’ said Polyakova.
