In the locality of Petrovskoye, in the Donetsk region, the sides withdrew their combat forces from the contact line and notified each other with white rockets signals.

According to Eduard Basurin, the representative of the DPR Defense Ministry, after the withdrawal ‘the clearance will begin the day after tomorrow’.

The OSCE mission representatives began to verify the implementation of the agreement.

In their turn, the Lugansk People's Republic is also preparing for the separation of forces. This withdrawal of troops from the contact line is to take place in the area of Stanitsa Luganskaya.

According to Vladislav Deynego, the authorized representative of the LPR in the Minsk negotiations, the Republic will ‘repeat the attempts until the decision taken in Minsk on September 21 is implemented’.

He emphasized that there is little time left for it since the agreement allows no longer than a month to implement the withdrawal.

Deynego informed that, unlike the LPR, the Ukrainian side was not ready to withdraw its forces and did not confirm its willingness to do so.

Another attempt to separate the conflicting sides in the area of Stanitsa Luganskaya will be made on October 9.
