DPR General Prosecutor's Office confirmed Kiev’s having used air defense missile system "Buk" on Makeevka

Fragments of the shell, found in Makeevka in early February this year, belong to an anti-aircraft missile system «Buk». It was stated by the investigation department of the Prosecutor General of the Donetsk People's Republic. 

‘According to the conclusions of the Forensic Center of the DPR Ministry of Internal Affairs, the metal fragments presented for the study, are pieces of one shell, namely that of 9M38M1 air defense missile system «Buk", said the agency. 

In addition, the Prosecutor General's Office has provided investigative materials with a complete list of fragments brought to the center of expertise, and their photo illustrations.

The office representative added that the results of the examination would be attached to the criminal case which had been opened on the planning, preparation, unleashing and waging an aggressive war in Donbass by the senior government officials of Ukraine. 

Earlier, the Operational Command reported the use by the Ukrainian military of the anti-aircraft missile system «Buk» in the shelling of the OSCE unmanned aerial vehicle. The incident occurred on the night of February 1st. The shell was launched from the AFU positions in the Avdeevka area. The fragments of the shell were found near the hospital number 5 in the Chervonogvardeysky district of Makeevka.
