The Director of the US National Intelligence, James Clapper tendered his resignation.

‘The night before I handed in my resignation,’ he said at a hearing in the US Congress.

He said that he had 64 days left to work in the position.

According to Clapper, the US is now ‘facing the most serious challenges’ for more than 50 years of his work in intelligence.
