The Ukrainian side allows the possibility of imposing sanctions on a number of Russian legal entities and individuals in the case of their business cooperation with enterprises in Donbass where external control was introduced. This was stated by the deputy head of the presidential administration of Ukraine, Konstantin Eliseev, in an interview with the newspaper "Segodnya".

‘I do not exclude that the Ukrainian side will also have to impose targeted sanctions against those Russian enterprises and individuals who will be involved in business and economic operations with those Ukrainian enterprises that were captured,’ said Eliseev.

He emphasized that Ukraine would do everything possible to ensure that no Ukrainian product (from these enterprises) got to either the territory of the EU or the territory of third countries.

According to him, the Ukrainian side expects a similar reaction from the European community.

‘We count on a powerful response from the international community, including through mechanisms of international sanctions against Russia,’ said the representative of the Poroshenko administration.
