In the shelling a civilian, Andrey Zhurbin, the chief doctor of the MIA hospital, was killed, and his 6-year-old child, a girl, was injured and died on the way to hospital.

As a result of today's shelling of Makeevka by the Ukrainian military, at least seven houses are damaged, reported the DPR Defense Ministry.

"As a result of the shelling by the AFU of the Kirovsky district of Makeevka, there are damaged seven houses, including direct hits in apartment buildings on Kokkinaki St, Heroes of Stalingrad ST and Avenue Gazetny,' the report says.

The Ministry clarified that the shelling of Makeevka was carried out with 122 and 152mm artillery and 120mm mortars.

Earlier, it was reported that as a result of the shelling of Makeevka by the AFU, two people were killed and another seven injured.

On the fact of today's shelling of Makeevka, the Donetsk People's Republic is initiating an extraordinary meeting of the Contact Group to resolve the situation in the Donbass. It was announced by Denis Pushilin, the head of the DPR delegation to the peace negotiations.
