Kiev refuses coal from LDNR
Official Kiev announced its refusal from coal supply from Donbas to generate electricity and heat. The country is able to find alternative ways of delivery, said the head of the Energy Ministry of Ukraine, Igor Nasalik.
‘Can Ukraine manage without coal from Donbass? Three months ago I said that it couldn’t, assessing the overall balance. But with what we have done for these three months, I can say with confidence that if we are blackmailed with coal non-delivery from Donbass uncontrolled by the Ukrainian authorities, we will manage,’ pointed out the Minister.
The head of the Energy Ministry says that, at this time, through the Ukrainian ports, it is possible to receive a monthly 700-720 thousand tons of coal, ‘which is enough to do without supplies from other sources’.
