Kiev took a clear course to withdraw from Minsk process

02:16, 17.05.2017

The statement of the Verkhovna Rada vice-speaker, Irina Gerashchenko, after the negotiations in Minsk, on Ukraine's refusal to present the Russian Spring participants in Odessa and Kharkov for the exchange of prisoners, is a testament to the fact that Kiev has taken a clear course for disruption and withdrawal from the Minsk process.

It was stated by the political scientist Denis Denisov.

‘The evaluation of such steps can only be extremely negative. There is a purposeful specific logic on the part of the Ukrainian authorities as in all areas related to the Minsk Agreements, there is an open breakdown, if not sabotage.

This concerns issues related to amnesty, security problems, political settlement. This is a perfectly clear position of the Ukrainian authorities, aimed at leveling and getting out of the Agreements.

Yesterday, this announcement by Gerashchenko was the loudest news, while, in fact, traditionally no tangible results have been achieved in any of the directions,’ Denisov said.
