The refusal of the IMF to credit Ukraine should do good to the Ukrainian political elite.

It was stated at a press conference in Kiev by Oleg Ustenko, the executive director of the International Blazer Fund.

‘I believe that the Western partners are doing the right thing, temporarily removing a channel of the free reception of means fromUkraine. I hope it will motivate the Ukrainian political elite to make correct and high-quality decisions,’ said the expert.

He also drew attention to an article dedicated to Ukraine, published by the influential US magazine Foreign Policy.

'Unfortunately, this magazine, which forms the attitude of the Western world and the United States to Ukraine, said that some of the money given by the IMF had been distributed through corrupt channels. It must have been extremely disappointing for the Ukrainian people and the taxpayers, because it is them who will eventually pay this money back,’ summed up Ustenko.
