The Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Pavel Klimkin, during a meeting of the OSCE Council of Foreign Ministers, stated the need to place a police mission of the organization in Donbass for the purpose of settlement of the conflict.

‘There is a need for monitoring the Russian border by the OSCE SMM, and it should be considered in the context of the Minsk Agreements, which must be fulfilled ... In addition, we also need a police mission to be deployed in the conflict areas and on the border, it is a prerequisite to enter the political track in the implementation of the Minsk Agreements,’ said Klimkin.

He also said that Kiev does not recognize the current authorities of the Republics. 

‘All that the people in Donbass need is peace and security, when the fire ceases and after we are able to achieve a political compromise,’ said the minister.
