The appeal of the Ukrainian Parliament to the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew with a request to take under his wing dissenters of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kiev Patriarchate (UOC (KP)) unrecognized in the Orthodox world, was left unanswered.

‘The Patriarchate of Constantinople has thrown an appeal of the Verkhovnaya Rada into a dustbin. It will never be answered. There were two other delegations from Ukraine to Constantinople, including two ex-presidents, Kravchuk and Yuschenko.
