02:13, 01.06.2017

Employees of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) were forced to stop distribution of humanitarian aid to residents of Prishib village in the Slavyanosrebsky region of the LPR because of the artillery shelling. This was announced by the head of the ICRC office in Lugansk, Walter Gros.

‘The ICRC arrived in Prishib to distribute food and hygiene kits, but was forced to postpone the distribution and leave the area due to the prevailing insecurity,’ Gros said.

According to him, the ICRC staff heard a powerful artillery cannonade, but could not accurately point the direction the artillery fire, after which they decided to stop the humanitarian action and leave the village of Prishib.

The LPR Defense Ministry accused the Ukrainian military of shelling the area of distribution of humanitarian aid in Prishib, recalling that over the past day, the AFU had shelled the positions of the LPR People's Militia in the Slavyanosrebsky region five times.
