In Ukraine, there were detained employees of a trading firm which had supplied food to the DPR and LPR and registered it as exports, due to the Ukrainian army blocking the turnover. The Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine has called these people an organized criminal group, with company employees arrested for ‘funding separatism’.

‘The Prosecutor's Office of Kiev region and the SBU officers have detained members of the group which in 2015-2016 organized an illegal channel of food supplies to the occupied territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions through pseudo-export,’. said the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Yury Lutsenko.

According to the head of the Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine, the goods, totaling more than 1.5 billion UAH, were to be allegedly shipped to Georgia, Azerbaijan and Iran.

‘On the results of the 29 searches, there were arrested five people for funding separatism, seized 160 vehicles which had been used to supply food to the «L/ DPR», seized 201 bank accounts of enterprises involved in the illegal scheme, seized over 500 tons metal products exported to the «LPR» and 1 million UAH cash,’ reported the Prosecutor's Office.
