The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine detained about 250 suspects of beating the «ATO» veterans in Dnieper (former Dnepropetrovsk) on May 9, and learned that one of the organizers of the action was a MP from the «Oppobloc», Alexander Vilkul. This was stated by Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko during a report to the Verkhovna Rada on May 24.

‘At this point, we have detained not only these «titushki» (troublemakers during the time of Yanukovich), there were a total of 250, but dozens of those who attacked the ATO fighters. We have learned who was their organizers, it was found out through one of those «titushki»’s voluntary agreement to work with the investigation, I hope there will be more of them.We now know for sure who organized and instructed the «titushki». Mr head of the «Oppobloc», I have bad news, they were all instructed, organized and financed at your headquarters in Dnepropetrovsk by Mr. Vilkul and Kolesnik personally. We have a video of them coming into the office, thank the BPP (Petro Poroshenko’s Bloc) because their office is nearby and there is a video camera. We have data from court-authorized listening materials that indicate the same,’ said Lutsenko.
