The Minister of Culture of Ukraine, Evgeny Nyschuk said that in the cities of Donbass a part of the population had been brought there, due to which the Ukrainian culture is accepted slowly.

He said it on the air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels.

‘The situation in the East and the South is an abyss of consciousness. Moreover, when we speak about genetics in Zaporozhye, in Donbass, the cities there are imported. There is no genetics there, it is deliberately imported (cities - Ed.). Cherkasy is a glorious Hetman and Shevchenko region. The city of Cherkasy is half imported. Why? Because they were afraid of Shevchenko's spirit. It was the Soviet Union technology,’ said the Minister, when asked about the reasons for the slow spread of the Ukrainian culture in Donbass.

However, he considers it possible to eliminate this ‘abyss of consciousness’ with the development of culture and cultural figures’ work.
