The Austrian Foreign Minister, Sebastian Kurz, who has become the new head of the OSCE, said that the Minsk Agreements are necessary and they need to be performed.

According to information resource LІGA.net, he said it at a joint press conference with the Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Pavel Klimkin.

‘We have to continue the negotiations. Minsk is a united basis on which they are carried out,’ said Kurtz.

According to him, there is a concern about the effectiveness of the Minsk Agreements. At the same time, he added that ‘the situation could be worse’.

‘I am not satisfied with the status quo which is now, but there is not any other core document,’ the diplomat said.

He emphasized that the cease-fire depends not only on the OSCE, but also on Kiev.
