The constituent meeting of the Integration Committee «Russia-Donbass» was held in the Livadia Palace in the Crimea. The Heads of the LDPR, the Crimea, MPs of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and senators of Russia took part in it. 

According to Andrey Kozenko, the coordinator of the committee and the State Duma MP, the idea of ​​creating an integration body was born in January, when Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitsky visited the Crimea with an actually official visit. 

‘It's not so much about the state as about thousands, tens of thousands of connections: public movements, foundations and simply ordinary Russians who are caring for Donbass with all their hearts and have already been helping the Republics for three years. It is absolutely obvious that there is a need for the public coordination of numerous sustainable humanitarian ties between Donbass and Russia,’ said Kozenko.

He compared the committee to the «road of life» that led to the besieged Leningrad across the Ladyzh Lake. 

‘The committee is called upon to become for the LDPR such a «road of life» which will unite the efforts of all those who help Donbass, unite the numerous «paths» trodden by public figures, volunteers, and various regional groups. It is the «road of life» because on the other side, there is barbed wire, tanks, guns, bandits and murderers with chevrons of the Ukrainian army,’ said Kozenko. 

He believes that Ukraine has not left Donbass a choice. 

‘The search for integration ties with the Russian regions is the only way to develop. The blockade has put an end to it,’ said Kozenko.

According to him, today, there will be presented a serious project of integration of the Crimea and Donbass, which will significantly affect the price reduction. 

The MP said that he had submitted to the State Duma a bill providing for the abolition of labor patents for the LDPR citizens. 

‘It is absolutely unfair that the citizens of the Donetsk and Lugansk Republics are treated in the same manner as the Lvov and Kiev citizens,’ Kozenko said.
