During the investigation of criminal activities of Liliya Kotz, a detained member of the Ukrainian extremist right-wing organizations, the DPR Ministry of State Security obtained data on the organization of shooting Kiev Maidan activists by persons involved in the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps «Right sector».

Liliya Kotz, a citizen of Ukraine, while staying on a base of the «Right Sector» in the locality of Yuryevka near Mariupol in summer 2015, received from members of the organization, being trained, information that people who had shot the Maidan activists, are hiding in a well-protected part of the base. Giving evidence, she pointed to the location of the premises where stayed the perpetrators of the shootings of protesters.

Liliya Kotz’s evidence is yet another confirmation that the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, delaying the investigation of this crime, openly neglected all the facts testifying to the involvement in it of radicals of the «Right Sector», consistently eliminated traces of their participation in the executions, falsified the case and is actually covering the criminals.

Given the statements of Yury Lutsenko, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, on the need for the Parliament of the country to adopt the law on exemption of military who, during the so-called anti-terrorist operation, violated the Penal Code in the peacetime, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office, instead of ensuring the execution of the laws, acts as an advocate of war crimes.
