Letter from Kiev: On May 9, Banderites will burn us like in Odessa

In the Russian press, a letter was published, in which a resident of Kiev describes about what is happening in Ukraine. Polina Orlovskaya of Kiev told openly her fears about the forthcoming Victory Day.

As you know, on May 9, in Ukraine starts Eurovision. In addition, actions will be held in honor of the Victory Day (which, although threatened to be cancelled, is still an official holiday of the «Independent»).

Although the May Day demonstrations were calm in Ukraine, by May 9 the situation in the country promises to heat up. On Victory Day, the radicals promised to ‘kill and burn the remnants of cotton wool’. They planned an action «Mortal Regiment», directed against veterans and other participants in the procession in honor of Victory Day.

‘On May 9, the Banderites will burn us like in Odessa,’ writes Polina Orlovskaya.

However, as the resident of Kiev assumes, all this is an empty bravado. Indeed, thanks to Eurovision, the capital of Ukraine will be full of foreigners, and therefore it will be rather difficult to hold a «deadly» action. Although, of course, you can not completely rely on it as it is possible that the situation will get out of control. So, the people of Kiev, who have not yet lost the remnants of common sense, will be threatened.

‘People like me are called in Kiev «dumb cotton wool» which does not understand the current historical moment,’ the Kievite admits.
