In an interview with "Moskovsky Komsomolets" Alena Boeva, presented by the publication as a Ukrainian oppositioner and a former resident of Odessa, voiced her own version of the murder of the leader of the «Oplot», Eugene Zhilin, in Moscow.

According to her, Zhilin had stayed in touch with senior officials in Kiev, including those working in the administration of the President. She added that she meant AndreiyTaranov, the deputy head of the Presidential Administration, who had crashed on a scooter on Sunday.

‘He was in contact with Eugene. Owing to the timely passed information, they had managed to save a lot of lives in Donbass, both in the LDPR and in the AFU,’ says Boeva.

At the same time, she says that she does not believe that Taranov's death was an accident, as he allegedly passed on the information directly to Zhilin who redirected it to Donetsk.

‘I would not call him a "mole". He did it for ideological reasons, as a patriot of his country, who did not want this mad bloodshed. He helped ordinary soldiers avoid the meat grinder. He also often warned the LDPR military, saving the lives of civilians. At the same time, he was engaged in collecting evidence on crimes of the Kiev elite, in particular, Avakov. There is information that he collected compromising material on Avakov, he had a whole folder of it, and making it public could have led to a number of court cases. Eugene Zhilin was Taranov's main contact,’ she said.
