18:01, 01.08.2016

The union of border inhabitants of Poland addressed the Minister of Justice of Poland, the Attorney General, Director of the Institute of Local national memory of Poland, with a collective letter, demanding to take concrete steps based on the resolution adopted by the Sejm and recognizing the Volyn massacre the genocide.

The authors believe that decisive measures are required to prevent the spread of the criminal and totalitarian ideology of Bandera, their symbolism and anti-Polish slogans. Those guilty of spreading them on the territory of Poland should be persecuted according to the law.

It is also necessary to take measures to identify and punish those Bandera criminals who, for one reason or another, escaped punishment, while staying on the territory of Poland.

It is proposed in the letter to recognize as illegal the activities and ideology of such organizations as the UPA, OUN, "Polesskaya Sich", the Legion of Ukrainian Sich Riflemen, the Ukrainian Self Defense Legion, the Fourteenth Waffen-SS Grenadier Division.

The authors of the letter are confident that the Sejm resolution is only the beginning of a process of restoring justice by legal means.
