Poroshenko met with leaders of parliamentary factions due to situation with IMF

The President of Ukraine Poroshenko held a meeting with the leaders of parliamentary factions and groups due to the situation that had arisen around the issue of allocating the fourth tranche from the IMF to Kiev, reported the press service of the Ukrainian head. 

‘The President Poroshenko holds a meeting with the leaders of the parliamentary factions and groups ... The President expressed the hope that the meeting would help stabilize the situation,’ the report said. 

It is stated that Poroshenko had appointed the meeting, supporting the proposal of the Verkhovnaya Rada Chairman, Andrey Parubiy, who had offered to hold short consultations at the beginning of the sessional week. 

‘We need to exchange views on the current situation that has developed in the country and has arisen in the world in connection with the corresponding reaction of the International Monetary Fund and the European Commission. I think it would be useful to hold appropriate consultations ... I am convinced that today, there are opportunities to realize that potential during this sessional week, which will allow us to stabilize the situation,’ the press service quotes Poroshenko.
