Dear compatriots, I cordially congratulate you on the Day of the Heroes of the Motherland!

The history of our nation is literally woven with heroic deeds of its faithful sons and daughters. Donbass has always courageously and steadfastly withstood any tests, owing to the people ready to selflessly serve the Motherland. Courage, honor and sense of duty of our people are passed down from generation to generation as the main shrines. On this we do and shall stand!

Today we are experiencing a difficult time. Together, we again have to stand united as a wall to protect our native land, to defend our ideals. None of us thought whether we would win or lose in the next battle, but every soldier knew that there was a reliable friend and a brother next to him in the trenches. So, the victory will be ours!

We all have witnessed the emergence of new Heroes. Yesterday they were miners, metallurgists, drivers or doctors ... In each of them the war has exposed the real thing, the core that we have inherited from our fathers and grandfathers who heroically broke the back of the XX century fascism. For the nowadays Heroes, the soldiers of the Great Patriotic War, their patriotism and loyalty to the homeland will always be an example.

The Hero of the People's Republic of Donetsk is not just an honorary title. This is the most honest assessment, because it is given by contemporaries for deeds of this day.

On behalf of myself and of all the people of the Donetsk People's Republic, let me express our huge human gratitude to you. Thank you, brothers, that you are!
