The Kiev authorities are betting on a military solution to the conflict in Donbass, openly speaking about the organization of sabotage-terrorist operations, including in Russia, said the President Vladimir Putin at the FSB board meeting. 

The Head of State expressed the view that the Kiev authorities are not ready for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. 

‘We see a serious deterioration of the situation in the south-east of Ukraine, and the purpose of these efforts, the goal of the aggravation is clear - to disrupt the Minsk Agreements,’ said the President.

Putin also noted that Kiev speaks openly about the organization of sabotage, terrorist and subversive activities in Russia. 

‘It can not but disturb us,’ said the President. 

On February 2, Putin said that the deterioration of the situation in Donbass was due to the desire of Kiev to once again draw attention to the crisis, to present Ukraine as a victim and demand additional support and funding from the West. 

‘There is another reason. The current Ukrainian government, apparently, is not ready for the implementation of the Minsk Agreements and looking for an excuse to abandon them,’ said the Russian leader.
