The damage to buildings and infrastructure in Makeevka is due to the undermining of a tanker on a landmine set by a Ukrainian subversive group. It was reported by the deputy commander of the DPR operative command, Eduard Basurin.

‘As a result of the undermining the the vehicle on a landmine set by a Ukrainian subversive group on the route of the tanker in the Chervonogvardeysky district of Makeevka, one soldier was killed and another wounded. The explosion was very powerful due to the ignition of fuel,’ said Eduard Basurin.

According to the specified data, the blast shattered windows in six schools, a high school, a medical school, three kindergartens and several residential houses. The expansion of the explosive device submunitions damaged a substation and, consequently, de-energized the mine «Scheglovskaya Glubokaya».

‘It indicates the revitalization of the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine, directed against the civilian population of the DPR. The bomb was set on the road used, in particular, by the residents of Makeevka,’said the representative of the command.
