Italian investigators came to the conclusion that the shelling of the photojournalist Andrea (Andy) Rockelli, killed in Donbass, had been intentional on the part of the Ukrainian army.

The tragedy occurred near Slavyansk in 2014. Out of the four people - Rokkelli, the Russian journalist Andrey Mironov, the driver and the Italian photojournalist William Rogelon - only the latter survived. According to his testimony, the attack had been carried out by the Ukrainian army making 40-60 rounds on the car with the media.

The Italian investigators examined all the data obtained, in particular, the reconstructed materials from the archives of the deceased, and concluded that the shelling had been carried out intentionally, the newspaper Corriere della Sera reports.

Relatives and friends of the deceased reporter, who personally visited Ukraine after the tragedy, claim that all the assurances of Kiev are false, and there was no real investigation into the Italian's death.
