Serbian observer: Primaries to show the unity of Donbass people

07:02, 29.07.2016

The preliminaries in the DPR, the preparations for which started in Donetsk, will demonstrate how united the inhabitants of Donbass are in building their state.

It was stated at a press conference in Donetsk by Miodrag Zarkovich, an observer from Serbia, a journalist and the editor of the Serb weekly «Print».

‘For the formation of an independent state, the importance of the local elections can not be overemphasized. Elections is the strongest reflection of the will of the people because they give the people control over their own future.

In the Donetsk People's Republic, the primaries should result in involvement of the entire population in the electoral process, which will help strengthen the image of the Republic …

The DPR is a multinational state, where each nation has equal rights and universal suffrage is implemented without any restrictions. This is consistent with international standards.

My colleagues and I believe that there is no extremism in the DPR, in contrast to the situation in the EU. This is because the people in Donbass do not impose anything on anyone, they are just building their own state. These primaries will show how the inhabitants of Donbass are united and committed to their noble cause,’ said the Serbian observer.
