Sociologists found out whether the Ukrainian MPs were ready to support the bill on granting the special status to certain local government areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

The relevant data were published by the Gorshenin Institute.

According to the opinion poll, which was attended by 163 MPs, only 15.6% of the respondents are ready to vote for the special status of certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

63.6% of the respondents will not support the bill, and another 20.8% of the politicians have not yet decided.

In addition, a significant part of the Ukrainian MPs (59.7%) believe that the Minsk Agreements will not help in resolving the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine. 32.5% of the respondents still believe in their effectiveness and another 7.8% of the MPs could not decide.
