The Ukrainian soldiers have mined the water-cooling canal of the Schastye HPP in order to commit a large-scale terrorist attack. It was stated by Leonid Pacechnik, the LPR Minister of State Security.

'The Ministry of State Security of the LPR has the information that representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have prepared a large-scale terrorist attack in the town of Schastye,' he said.

'We have found that they have mined the water-cooling canal of the Schastye HPP, which is connected to the Schastye ponds. The canal was mined) in the place, where it passes three and a half meters above the residential areas,' said Pacechnik.

'Presumably, as a result of its undermining, a significant part of the town of Schastye and the Schastye HPP will be flooded with water. In the event of disabling the Schastye HPP, there will be de-energized a significant part of the LPR territory, as well as a significant part of the territory controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine,' emphasized the Minister.

He noted that, according to the LPE MGB, the preparation and conduct of this terrorist attack is due to combined interests of the Security Services of Ukraine and Western intelligence agencies, which are directing the activities of nationalist battalions.

'Their primary goal is discrediting the authorities of the Lugansk People's Republic, as well as some business entities in Ukraine,' pointed out Pacechnik.
