London court rejected all arguments of Ukraine in the case of debt to Russia

23:46, 29.03.2017

The High Court of London ‘rejected all the arguments of the Ukrainian side’ and approved the proposal of the Russian Federation to consider in an accelerated order the case of «Yanukovych's debt», the 3 billion euros state debt of Ukraine to Russia.

This is reported by the agency Bloomberg referring to the decision announced in the courtroom on Wednesday, March 29.

The judge rejected all the arguments of the Ukrainian side, including filed charges of the Russian Federation of the ‘political pressure’ on Ukraine.

Kiev intends to challenge the decision of the High Court of London. The court gave permission to file an appeal.

In accordance with the rules of civil procedure in England, the application is sent for a court decision without a full-scale trial of the claim on the grounds that Ukraine has no real chance to challenge the demand for payment of debt on bonds.

As reported by the Bloomberg, the cost of the bonds of Ukraine is going down after the announcement of the court decision.
