In the late evening, the Ukrainian military shelled with large-caliber mortars the checkpoint «Mayorsk» in the north of Gorlovka. This was reported by a source in the DPR security agencies.

‘At 22:00, the Ukrainian side opened fire on the checkpoint «Mayorsk». There were launched 10 120mm mortar shells on it,’ the report says. 

According to the source, along with mortars, the Ukrainian military used mortars grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. 

‘The shelling was carried out during off-hours, there were no civilian at the checkpoint at that time, so there were no casualties among the civilian population,’ he added.
