Ukrainian military detained five citizens of DPR

Over the week, the DPR Commissioner for Human Rights office registered five applications about the detention of citizens of the Donetsk People's Republic by the Ukrainian military, another resident was missing. It was reported by the office of the DPR Ombudsman.

‘This week the office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Donetsk People's Republic has received five applications for the arrest of citizens by the Ukrainian law enforcement agencies. In particular, it was found that four people had been Ukrainian prisoners since 2015, one man was arrested at the northern part of the contact line on September 8, 2016,’ reported the office.

In addition, the office of the Commissioner has received a report on a missing person. A man born in 1983 stopped communicating with his family in March 2016.

According to the latest data of Morozova’s office, currently 907 people are held in places of deprivation of liberty by the Ukrainian side. In addition, 486 people remain missing. They may also be in Ukrainian captivity.
