The head of the National Police of Ukraine, Khatiya Dekanoidze has resigned, reports the website Ukrainian Observer, citing its own sources.

According to the website, Dekanoidze’s first deputy, Vadim Troyan has become the acting head of the National Police.

Dekanoidze held the post of the chief of the Ukrainian police since 4 November 2015. Prior to that, she was an advisor to the Interior Minister, Arsen Avakov.
