The headquarters of the blockade of the DPR and LPR put an ultimatum to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the cessation of coal supplies from Russia before April 2. This was announced by the chief of the blockade headquarters, Anatoly Vinogrodsky, during a press conference. 

‘We are moving to the second stage of the blockade, giving the government time until April 2 to sign a treaty with countries that do not wage war against Ukraine, on the supply of energy. We will not let coal pass from Russia anymore,’ said Vinogrodsky. 

Otherwise, the participants will begin an active phase of the blockade and stop coal passing from Russia. 

The blockade also plans to block the supply of all vital resources to the DPR and LPR.

‘We will completely block all supplies of goods and cargo, electricity, water and other things that will flow into the occupied territories, in order to organize unbearable conditions for the population there. So that they begin to talk with their Zakharchenko and Plotnitsky,’ he said during a press conference. 

The participants in the trade blockade also threaten to close the branches of the Russian Sberbank in Ukraine on their own, if the Cabinet does not. 

‘We give two weeks to the depositors of Sberbank to take their money from there,’ he warned. 

The activists of the blockade demand that the government stop the Sberbank operation in Ukraine. 

‘If this does not happen, we will close the branches of Sberbank ourselves,’ emphasized Vinogorodsky.
