DPR reports an explosion at ammunition warehouse near Yasinovataya

01:56, 13.04.2017

An explosion at the AFU ammunition depot near Yasinovataya occurred on Wednesday, April 12, in the morning. This was announced by Eduard Basurin, the deputy commander of the DPR operational command.

The explosion at the AFU ammunition depot took place about 7 am. The incident occurred in the area of the Butovskaya mine, in the territory controlled by the Kiev military.

As suspected in the DPR Defense Ministry, the explosion was supposed to hide the theft of ammunition.

‘Today, about 7 am (coincides with Kiev), in the area of the ventilation shaft of the Butovskaya mine (territory controlled by the AFU), an ammunition depot was undermined. Most likely, the reason was non-compliance with security measures or purposeful actions in order to hide theft,’ said Basurin.

Earlier, there was an explosion and a powerful fire in the town of Balakleya, the Kharkov region. As a result, hundreds of apartment houses were damaged, and there were casualties. According to many experts and observers, by undermining this arsenal, the Ukrainian military hid the facts of the theft of ammunition from their territory.

The day before, the LPR Defense Ministry warned their fellow countrymen on the Kiev-controlled territory about the danger of explosions at Ukrainian military depots. For their undermining, there are necessary grounds: 40% of ammunition has already been plundered.
