Kiev let slip that MH-17 downed over Donbass helped to keep Ukraine

01:54, 19.01.2017

If the Malaysian Boeing 777 had not been shot down in the sky over Donbass, the army of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republic could have moved into the depths of Ukraine, up to taking control over the entire country.

This opinion was expressed by the Kiev journalist, Dmitry Gordon, on the air of the «112 Ukraine» TV channel. According to him, no one in the world can predict today what will happen to the DPR, LPR and the Crimean peninsula. He also pointed out that the situation depends on coincidences and factors which affect the overall situation. He further stated that if the Malaysian «Boeing 777» had not been downed over Donbass, the army of the People's Republics of Donbass would have long been in Kiev. He noted that it allowed the current Kiev authorities that had come after the coup in Ukraine, to survive.

‘No one in the world can say today what will happen to Donbass and the Crimea. It depends on so many factors and so many coincidences. You know, if Russian mercenaries in Donbass had not shot down the aircraft, that poor «Boeing», the Malaysian one, then the Russian troops might have been in Kiev by now in Kiev. Such a fluke, a coincidence, a nuance and a tragedy broke the entire course of the alleged situation,’ said Gordon.
