In the elite cottage village of Gorki-2, near Moscow, in the restaurant «Breeze», in the shooting there was killed Eugene Zhilin, the head of the Kharkov public organization "Oplot" and a well-known Antimaydan activist.

According to the media, the killer did not shoot only Zhilin, but also another visitor of the restaurant "Breeze". The identity of the other victim, a friend of Žhilin, who received severe wounds but is still alive, is being specified. The suspects fled in two vehicles: a yellow «Nissan» taxi and a dark-colored foreign car.

The political analyst Yury Pershikov commented that the killing of the head of the organization "Oplot" had aimed at intimidating pro-Russian people in Ukraine.

‘This demonstration was not for Russia or the Russian special services that they [the Ukrainian secret service] can pass and do anything on our territory; it was a demonstration to the people who stay in Ukraine, pro-Russian people still believing in Russia; a demonstration that it will get you killed,’ says Pershikov.

According to the analyst, the murder of Zhilin indicates that the Ukrainian political refugees in the Russian Federation can not feel properly safe.
