A Russian citizen Evgeny Mefedov, imprisoned for about 2 years for "riots of 2 May", is released on bail in Odessa, according to the court decision.

It was reported to The PolitNavigator by journalist Artem Buzila who himself had spent 11 months in jail after being arrested on charges of separatism.

According to Buzila, having learnt of the decision on Mefedov, Ukrainian nationalists stormed the court.

'The Right sector attacked the judges. The police in full uniform pushed the nationalists out of the courtroom. There are clashes going on. Doors are smashed,' he said.

According to the information of Buzila, there are 3 more Russian citizens still in detention in Odessa.

Mefedov was an active member of the "Odessa squad" and a member of the pro-Russian marches. He was among Antimaydan activists at the time of the burning of the Trade Union House where he got his hand burnt.

During the events in the Trade Unions House on the Kulikovo Pole, Evgeny was on the 3rd floor, got poisoned with carbon monoxide gases and suffered multiple burns of a hand. He was evacuated to the intensive care unit, after which it was arrested and transferred to a detention center.
