Bill on promotion of Russian language introduced to Verkhovnaya Rada
A bill on the promotion and protection of the Russian language is introduced to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. This was reported on the website of the Ukrainian parliament.
It is noted that the bill is called «On provision of the state support measures for the development, promotion and protection of the Russian language and other languages of national minorities in Ukraine». It was registered on December 26 by the MP from the faction «Opposition bloc», Evgeny Balitsky.
The MPs of the Verkhovnaya Rada have gone on the winter holidays, they will return to work on January 17, 2017.
